Jose is an actor, singer and dancer born and raised in Southern Florida. His first passion was basketball and he was determined to make it to the NBA. That dream took a back seat when his twin sisters brought him to audition for the musical "Oliver!" He was cast as Oliver, and that's when the passion for theatre began. He clicked with the community of people and friends and how theatre brought people together.
He then took formal training in West Palm Beach Florida at John Robert Powers Agency. He found another passion for film acting and at a young age realized that any medium is possible with hard work and determination.
Jose has taken that principle along with him, and recently earned his BFA in Musical Theatre at Texas State University under the direction of Kaitlin Hopkins. Texas State provided incredible education and opportunities for Jose. He appeared in workshops/readings of new works (Theresa Rebeck and Kim Grigsby), plays, musicals and most recently studied abroad in London at the Renowned Globe Theatre and at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford Upon Avon. He has been very grateful to have shared the stage with such artist's as Kristin Chenoweth, Andrew Lippa, and Alex Newell. He is a proud Alumni of The Broadway Dreams Foundation.
Besides Theatre, Jose is a proud father of his little puppy, Cosmo! They both share a love for the Miami Heat and a good cup of Cafe Con Leche.
Jose has produced cabarets and short films and has a passion for teaching and helping future artists.
He is currently based in New York City.
